The bogies is intended for installation inder freight cars to be operated on the main-line railways with 1520 mm and 1435 mm gauge as well as under freight cars to be operated on the closed-line industrial railways. The bogie is analogue of the widely used bogie mod. 18-100 and it is completely interchangeable with this model both as a whole product and by basic components. Distinctive feature of the bogie is structurally provided application of large castings and wheel sets of various manufacturers, which have designs similar to the corresponding components of the bogie mod. 18-100. Besides, the design of this model provides use of side frames and bolsters of series 7020, with installation of removable rigid bearers onto the unifield horizontal areas of a bolster, with their fixation by means of bolts and self-locking nuts.

The bogie consists of:

• wheel sets with axle-boxes having straight roller bearings;

• cast side frames and bolster;

• spring suspension set, which includes cylindrical springs, friction vibration suppressors;

• brake lever transmission.
